Short bio

Diego Viesi was born in Rovereto, Italy, in 1987. After high school in Science and Technology (ITI Marconi Rovereto), in November 2011 he graduated in Geology and Geological Technique (Master Degree, Università degli Studi di Padova) with a thesis entitled “Analysis of the potential for geothermal heat pump in Lower Sarca River Valley between Arco and Riva del Garda – Trentino”. In 2012 he has been accredited as Professional Geologist, working as freelance professional geologist since 2013.

He joined the Bruno Kessler Foundation of Trento, Italy, in October 2013 working as research technologist in REET (Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies) Unit, now ARES.
His main experience, gained in several regional and european project, are in the field of ground source heat pump, GIS analysis for regional energy planning, energy monitoring systems (geothermal borehole, heat pumps, solar thermal collectors), environmental and economic strategies.

Since June 2014 he is certified as Energy Manager by ENEA.
